WELCOME

The Bangkok Wanderers Golf Club is a friendly society comprised of fairly eclectic, sometimes eccentric, individuals living in and around Bangkok. We come together twice a month or so for fun golf tournaments, and during each year wander to some of Thailand's finest golf courses. Membership is open and a Wanderers handicap is given after submitting cards at three events.

Chiraprawat Cup - We're making use of a brand new championship course in Hua Hin at the end of August. It's not yet open so we can't enjoy the full facilities but we can enjoy this beautiful course (same designers as Santhiburi in Koh Samui) and have it to ourselves. Follow the link to see pics...

NEWS
The 2008 Matchplay, Eclectic, Order of Merit and Stableford competitions are underway. Make sure you follow your progress.

The line-up for the 2008 matchplay final is now complete. Karen Holloway will take on David Jeffers in an epic.

The Mapie Putter annual match against the British Club was declared abondoned after torrential rain meant many could not finish the course on Sep 28th. Thank you to all those who turned out (22 on each team). A rescheduled match will take place probably in December. In the meantime the BCGS will hold on to the Putter......mutter mutter....

COMING SOON
The Club Championship is looming at the end of November (Nov 29-30) which is a weekend away at Royal Hills GC near Nakhon Nayok (1.5 hrs from BKK). Anyone can join the two-day event but only those having played 6 games with BWGC since the last Club Championship can be eligible for the Champion title. The AGM will be held on the Saturday morning prior to play.
